Captain America: Civil War may still be nearly a month away from release, but the studio held a special screening tonight with the press. Like most movies, the critics have since taken to Twitter to voice their opinions about the movie and they are overwhelmingly positive so far.
Full review embargoes won’t be lifting until next Wednesday, but for now Twitter is a good way for the critics to speak about the movie. This is much more than what we saw after the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premiere where random fans were tweeting after the movie, as this instead involved critics and everything.
Coming from critics at sources like Yahoo Movies and Gizmodo, the early reactions to Captain America: Civil War make it sound like it could be one of the best Marvel movies to date.
Everyone seems to agree that the Russo Brothers have put together another fantastic movie with some of the best action sequences in the industry, with Devin Faraci at BirthMoviesDeath saying that the scale exceeds that The Winter Soldier, while still being even more personal as well.
The early reactions are also raving about Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, with Boseman and Holland both said to be nailing their respective roles.
