Square Enix announced today the first expansion for the popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, Heavensward, is available for pre-order on disc and digitally in three forms; the collectors edition, the standard edition, and an all-in-one bundle which includes A Realm Reborn in addition to Heavensward. The Heavensward Collectors Edition will be available for pre-order on disc for $129.99 and digitally for $59.99. The standard edition will be available for $39.99 and the all-in-one bundle will be available for $59.99.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward will be released on June 23, 2015 and will toss players into the thick of the Dragonsong War; a bloody thousand-year conflict between the knights of Ishgard and the dragons of Dravania. The level cap will be raised from 50 to 60, and players can look forward to a new playable race, new dungeons, new raids, new primal battles, and new mounts, such as flying black chocobos, single-rider airships, and dragons.

The Collectors Edition of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward will feature the “Dragonsong War” box with art by Yoshitaka Amano, a hand-crafted Dragon Mount figurine, the Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Art Book, and the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn movie Blu-ray disc. Additionally, the Collectors Edition will feature various in-game items such as the Flying Griffin Mount, the Dark Knight Cecil-themed Baron Helm, the Wind-up Kain minion, and Fantasia.

In addition to the PS3, PS4, and PC versions of Heavensward, a digital all-in-one bundle will be available exclusively for the Mac OS. Players will also be able to place pre-orders for the digital versions of each edition in order to receive access to the pre-order bonuses, and a digital upgrade option will be available that allows players to upgrade to the Collectors Edition; receiving the in-game bonuses but forgoing the physical items.

New and lapsed players are encouraged to play A Realm Reborn, as completing the main scenario quest is required in order to play Heavensward.
